Most people are indeed lazy to study and think for themselves, or they have no clue and just trust they will be guided correctly, while many are born into ignorant or unloving families. The truth is that we must think as individuals and prove everything. What people need to be told is that knowing God is a personal thing, which neccesitates personal effort and responsibility. This means we need to study a lot of different views, and then let truth speak for itself. This takes time, but again, who wants to make the effort, so they can defeat the Goliath of false religions, beliefs, and politics? Lastly, without God we cannot accomplish any lasting success or peace. That is the meaning of why God allows so many bad things, adding to it that God must allow people to exercise their free wills, to see if they are worth being allowed to live forever. So this current life is about learning and about getting approved by God, while also getting away from evil with God's help. God is mighty and He will not dishonor your trust in Him -the only thing is that many times He does things differently than we expect, so patience is the key.
