Good read ... lots of things triangulate with what I've read (like the IBM connection), and a bit of new info as well. Loved the reference to P.K. Dick (and therefore my favorite S.F. movie) ... but afraid that dark screen set is coming. I don't do Pepsi or Coke, but am addicted to something just as morally corrupt ... gotta have my 2 cups of Nescafe Gold every morning.
You know that Nestle CEO says that water is not a human right and that they through buying all the worlds water Nestle is making a Dune (as in Frank Herbert) out of this world.
Get a french coffee maker tastes better is cheaper and you won't feed them.
Yes. As I mentioned in my comment, I know about the moral corruption of Nestle, but appreciate the heads up about the French coffee. If you know a French instant coffee that is available here in Japan, I am all ears ... uh ... eyes.
I love me a fresh ground cup Filterkaffee. To everyone his own. Got to evolve …
Re: Starving the beast. Tough when you need feed and fuel for the tractor, few clothes, have family to support, a ice cream cone now and then. One can reduce his exposure to fiat system, piece by piece. My heart says step out, on the other side I want to remain a productive member of society with the little pride and respect that comes with doing so.

You know there is no such things as instant coffee. It is a process interrupted.
Then I am addicted to my caffeinated imagination. 🙃
Using a French press makes any coffee pretty much instant. You can buy the coffee itself from any number of people besides Nestle.
I used a French press for a long time and it tastes great and is very fast.
