Remember boy that your forefathers died
Lost in millions for a country's pride
But they never mention
The trenches of Belgium
And they stopped fighting
And they were one
A spirit stronger than war was at work that night
December 1914 cold, clear and bright
Countries' borders
Were right out of sight
When they joined together
And decided not to fight
All together now
All together now
All together now
In no man's land
The Farm - All together now.
Inspired by the Christmas Day football match in No Man's Land during the First World War, All Together Now was the the Farm's biggest UK single hitting number 4 in December 1990
As the world is been dragged into WW3 by the powers that be... or wanna be powers that will fade away in time once we realize we all been dragged into this shit... been lied to... been cheated.
This is as a reminder that people everywhere do not want war... only Freemasons and other evil people do.
My Grandfather was a Private Johnson from Manchester...
My Father was born out of wedlock in Germany.
So there you have the connection.
In 1914 the Opposing Forces of this war... a war of Israel... just like the Hamas War today.
But unlike Hamas and Israel who are both Idiots... the Germans and the British made an Impromptu truce and even played Football matches together.
Can you Imagine Israel and Hamas playing a friendly Football match?
No fucking way.
Especially not with the Money of the Rothchilds who fund all wars and the most vile and evil person Benjamin Netanyahu.
So for all my American Friends here... If Germans and British could find a truce there... we can find it here.
This is just a screenshot to remind you that we the people don't want war.
Arseholes do.
Fuck them.
The Real Story of the Christmas Truce
Late on Christmas Eve 1914, men of the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) heard German troops in the trenches opposite them singing carols and patriotic songs and saw lanterns and small fir trees along their trenches. Messages began to be shouted between the trenches.
The following day, British and German soldiers met in no man's land and exchanged gifts, took photographs and some played impromptu games of football. They also buried casualties and repaired trenches and dugouts. After Boxing Day, meetings in no man's land dwindled out.
The truce was not observed everywhere along the Western Front. Elsewhere the fighting continued and casualties did occur on Christmas Day. Some officers were unhappy at the truce and worried that it would undermine fighting spirit.
After 1914, the High Commands on both sides tried to prevent any truces on a similar scale happening again. Despite this, there were some isolated incidents of soldiers holding brief truces later in the war, and not only at Christmas.
In what was known as the 'Live and Let Live' system, in quiet sectors of the front line, brief pauses in the hostilities were sometimes tacitly agreed, allowing both sides to repair their trenches or gather their dead.

The story behind 1914 Christmas Ad
Our Christmas TV ad was inspired by an extraordinary event of the First World War: the Christmas Truce of 1914.

My maternal grandfather took part in a Christmas truce in 1914. He was a German grenadier guardsman and was a couple of months shy of his 17th birthday. He told me about that Christmas when I was a child. He started what has now become a family tradition for Christmas Eve. We gather together and sing Silent Night in German. I am teaching my grandchildren to keep this tradition alive a century later. We can't fix politicians because they are so broken. We can only replace them with less broken people and pray that they have consciences and will work for peace. We, the people of the world, need to stop killing our young in a continuing sacrifice in the name of Mars.
My grandfather was there, and wrote home about the Christmas truce. It started with British troops in the trenches singing Silent Night on Christmas Eve, and the German troops joined in. And on Christmas Day, after the Christmas Truce was arranged by local commanders, the two sides indeed played football
ALL the soldiers of the World MUST make again The Christmas Truce of 1914 FOR EVER
My grandfather was at the Christmas truce so it's always fascinated me. You can read his letter about it here (Below... Ted to Gertrude)
I am putting all of his family's #ww1 letters on the website over the next four years and you can get them by email or follow on Twitter @FamilyLetters and @BerrymanLetters. The originals are in the Imperial War Museum (where they should be).
My Grand-Uncle, an American who volunteered to fight with the Canadians participated in such an event in 1914. He kept most of it to himself, saying only that it was the one thing that reminded him that Propaganda and Truth do not walk hand in hand. His most vivid memories of the event were the summary Courts Martial and Execution of those who were deemed to be responsible for the "insurection" against established authority and the King.
We seem to forget that they were just men both fighting for what the thought was right. The fact that something like this happened in some parts shows what holiday means to some people. It's about love, support, and compassion.
If only people ignore the history facts and hatred on the war thingy, and perhaps just simply enjoy the ad with that beautiful message.. the world still can be a better place to live in. Ps: not a bristish or a german here, simply a foreigner appreciating the beauty of humanity in this ad. Cheers, is Christmas.
I heard about this in the 1960’s from my ex-father-in-law who was one of those young men on the lines, a 19 year old serving with the Canadian Expeditionary Forces. Someone started singing a Christmas carol and little by little other voices joined in, and gradually the men met between the two lines to share cigarettes, stories and photos of their loved ones. He told me that they were all just a bunch of scared and lonely young men, cold and tired, wishing they were home with their families and loved ones for the holidays instead of in cold, damp trenches and foxholes fighting another man’s war. Early in the morning of December 26, a rifle shot ended the truce and the war was on again…I loved the story, but found it hard to believe that a war could end for one day. Many years later this story was verified, an amazing day and night in a horrible time.
I read that soldiers from both sides actually had fun together on Christmas in 1914, eventually. They actually disagreed with their superiors wanting them to pick up the fight again after Christmas, and were sad that they had to shoot the ones they had a great time with... Fact is that Christmas was never celebrated again during the Great War in the trenches the following years.
Probably one of the best stories ever.
Lovely story...I did not know about it. As I watched I thought that so many ordinary citizens would just get along if it were not for "those in power" who dictate what direction the world will take. Reading some of these posts I can see why war will never be over & done with mankind...there is too much anger and angst living in some people. Being kind and respectful in action and language is something that is lost on many folks. I think because of shame of some sort in their own lives. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all and peace and goodwill toward men.
We always like to see the Germans as the bad guys in this war. And don't get me wrong, there were a few Germans who were evil and truly believed in what they were doing, but the rest were just scared young kids forced to fight, just like the allies. None of them wanted the war. Behind every scope was a human being.
What a wonderful moving story that shows the sadness of war but the humanity that was still shared by some of those very young men on both sides. My family lost a young man Albert Percy Doughty and I shed a tear each year for him even though I never met him. They were all just very young innocent boys sent to their death. Lest We Forget
Who knew history could be so interesting? Makes me feel all the feels.
It's a huge shame that I was never told about such an important event it was in history. It wouldn't be seen as such but it was a one of a kind event that would never happen again.
I heard about this story back in the 60's and I was very touched by it, had those men had their way the war would have ended that day. For the most part people don't start wars, lying governments start wars, just like Bush lying about the weapons of mass destruction that Iraq supposedly had.
The 1914 Christmas Truce is heading to America for the first time.
The story of the Christmas Truce is captured through the eyes of one solider, Private James Boyce, in the acclaimed one man show Our Friends, The Enemy. After two UK tours and a list of special performances, it heads to Theatre Row in New York for a strictly limited two week engagement in December 2015 this year.
In times of peace never forget the possibility of war, in times war never forget compassion.
See this is whats wrong with people. Why can't we just watch an awesome video and take what is good from it and maybe even learn from it. We don't have to analyze, politicize and correct everything. Some things just make you feel good. This is a thing I like to do on a daily basis...FEEL GOOD!. God bless, stay warm/cool and for crying out loud try to feel good about something or someone. Matter of fact try to do something nice for someone today tomorrow and each day.
Sorry for the soap box and I'm sure I'll be verbally attacked but it just saddened me after this video made me feel good to read some of the stuff written. Makes me think maybe some people just plan want to be miserable everyday. I think from now on I just won't read the remarks. :-) There is enough bad in the world already 3 minutes of just enjoy felt nice.
Even in the toughest of time, greatest of war there can be great humanity
The cap badges of the British Soldiers are cap badges of The Cheshire Regiment . My Grandfather served with them during the second world war , I served with them and my nephew served with them in Iraq and Afghanistan . This is an act of chivalry and honor and nothing to do with fraternizing with the enemy . You show your enemy respect at all times . Remember these were the soldiers who recognized their enemy was human at a time when goodwill is to be shown to all , unlike the generals who sent them to certain death without giving a toss .
In all history and also in ww1 and ww2 ,soldiers paid the last price because of politicians. But sometimes ,they decided when and how.
I watched this with mixed emotions. I never knew my grand father as he was killed in France and is buried there in a military cemetery. The sad thing too as with many others killed, he left his wife and 4 young children. He volunteered....I read his diary that was found. His writing made me cry, as did this video. If only this world knew peace again, among all nations. Religious beliefs have caused a lot of hatred.
It was not two great nations that put down their arms and exchanged Christmas cheer with the "enemy"; it was individuals who saw past the insanity and for a brief period of time - instigated by a shared belief - that sane moment spread to others and touched many lives. Nothing to do with "great" nations,my friend, all to do with remembering truth on the part of some great souls...
My Grandmother told me about this event. My Grandfather served in WWI & told her about a Christmas meeting in no mans land no Christmas day. So I know It was true. PS. I am British. John P.
The high commands had to pull all the units involved off the line because when the armistice expired they refused to shoot at each other.
What people should understand most from the truce is that they did/dont HAVE to kill other humans, they can stand up & work together to say 'no I not doing this". You do not have to abdicate your responsibility, your actions and choices you make are yours and you can stand together for a peaceful future instead of killing out of fear.
Oh man...I am sitting here with tears running down my face.
Reading some of the negative comments here - I weep for our veterans on both sides of the conflict because they'd all be standing together, (My grandfathers Bill, Ted - Royal Navy and my cousin's grandfather Heinz - German Army included) asking 'what in God's name are you bitches whining about? take life for granted much?' Everyone here should make a point of standing at the next remembrance ceremony and learning to pause and think instead of yapping your ignorant mouths.
I did read that when this unofficial truce ended the soldiers on both sides refused to fire on each other. Both sides moved these soldiers away and put new troops there. Don't know if this is true or not but I hope it was. Politicians make war and the ordinary people are basically forced to lay down their lives. The world would be a much better place if we just played a game of football or better yet, just let the ordinary people of all nations just talk to each other and sort out whatever issues peacefully. War only causes death and destruction, it solves nothing. Oh, by the way I'm a 70 year old ex British soldier who hates the idea of war and all the horrors it brings. Well done Sainsburys, this was well worth watching. By the way, I am a 70 year old ex British soldier who hates the idea of war, I have fought for my country but I do not feel any pride in what I had to do.
The two nations never hated one another. They were just told to.
Someone should turn this into a movie
31 December 1914 – Ted to Gertrude (Christmas day truce)
Dear Mother
Thanks most awfully for your last few letters. I’m afraid I’ve been very remiss in answering them, but I have’nt had a moment really. We came out of those old trenches on the night of the 27th, after doing 25 days & nights there, pretty long time was’nt it. We were glad to be relieved as you may imagine, the men were all absolutely doggo, as they had to work day & night to keep the trenches for from falling in, because the weather was so wet & beastly that the earthy all got sodden & soaked & had to be simply propped up, & our trenches were simply lined with boards & old doors & anything we could get hold of. I am writing this in nice comfortable billets miles away from the firing line where the whole Indian Army Corps has come for a rest for 3 weeks or so.
I have’nt much news to tell you except an extraordinary thing which happened on Christmas day. To begin with on Christmas eve all the German trenches were lined with little lights, which we afterwards discovered were Christmas trees. Well next morning we heard them singing & shouting in their trenches, and about midday they began lifting up hats on sticks and shewing them above the trenches, then they shewed their heads, & then bodies & finally they climbed out of their trenches into the open! Of course one could’nt shoot them in cold blood like that, tho’ one or two shots were fired; and after a bit we also scrambled out of our trenches, & for an hour both sides walked about in the space between the two lines of trenches, talking & laughing, swapping baccy & cigarettes, biscuits etc. They were quite friendly & genuine, & our Col: who talks German had a long conversation with them, & asked them how they were & everything, & you would never believe that we had been fighting for weeks. After about an hour their officers shooed them back to their trenches, and we came back to ours, but for the rest of Christmas day & night, & all next day, 26th, I dont suppose 2 shots were fired hardly by either side! Was’nt it weird?
By the way, leave is now open, & 3 of our fellows have gone on leave. I am, I hope, arriving in London about 3 o’clock on the 8th, if all goes well, as my turn is next; so you can expect me home, with a fair amount of certainty, on evening of the 8th, probably by a train leaving Waterloo about 5-6 o’clock. So if anyone likes to hang about Waterloo anytime about then they are fairly sure to meet me. Is’nt it GORGEOUS!!
Happy New Year to all
yr loving son
Ted
All together now.

Love this story every time it passes by. Merry merry every day to you Fritz.🕊️💛
Thank you an interesting and valued read🤝
Have spent alot of time looking into the potential withholding of council tax due to the government's actions, worth checking out "probityco.com"
CT goes into the consolidated fund and is used for all there crimal and not so criminal activities.Refusing to pay CT will lead to trouble as by refusing you admit there is a debt to pay and if you ignore communication this is seen as tacit acceptance of the debt.
Funding the demise of ourselves and others seems a little unwise.
Just read an interesting article about Boris Johnson (and the 🇺🇸) and how he was instrumental in stopping a peace agreement being reached between Russia and UKraine🍻🤝
